In less than a week, Jamie will be returning to one of his fans’ favourite talk shows and we’re crazy stoked about it!

Fifty Shades Freed is less than a month away which means promo for it should be starting soon, right? RIGHT! To kick things off (from what we know of so far) Jamie will be returning as a guest on BBC’s beloved and raunchy talk show, The Graham Norton Show, for the fourth time. He’ll be among great company too – the incomparable Helen Mirren and the masterful Liam Neeson will take a seat next to Jamie on Graham’s couch. Jamie is scheduled to tape the show on Thursday January 18, while the episode will air on BBC One the next day, January 19.

The Graham Norton Show is among a favourite of Jamie’s fans; each time he’s been a guest, comedy ensues. Whether he’s demonstrating his Dornan walk from his first appearance in 2014, eating a cake of his half-naked Christian Grey self during his 2015 appearance, or vocalizing sex noises while visiting the couch in 2017, Jamie always treats us to something unique about himself or his character, and our expectations are nothing less for 2018.

From what we know so far, this will be Jamie’s first interview of the year, marking the kick off of Fifty Shades Freed promotion. While we also know that he’ll be a guest on BBC Radio One (UK) sometime in February, and sit down ‘Face to Face’ with Belfast’s Eamonn Mallie, we have no confirmed date for either interview as of yet.

When it comes to the Americas, past interviews conducted with Jamie include The Ellen Degeneres Show, Conan O’Brien, Live! with Kelly and (now) Ryan, Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel. And although we have no idea what’s happening in terms of a Fifty Shades Freed Premiere on this side of the pond, we’re still hopeful more great interviews are to come.

Jamie stopped by The Conan O’Brien show on February 1st where he debuted a party trick we’ve all been secretly dying to see him do in person. We’ve all seen the photographs but never did we think he’d perform the stunt for us on television.

“I had to sing a couple of songs that were well beyond my capabilities. I was first up. It was like 9:45 in the morning and I had just woken up, brushed my teeth and went here, came, here. And I thought, I’ll bring a little bottle of whiskey with me because it really made sense to me at the time. And I thought, it’ll do two things; it’ll give me a bit of courage, because I didn’t think I was a very good singer and the other it would do would warm my vocal chords. So that was the plan anyway. And I parked right before the big water tower thing, and I (…) open the door and I take the whiskey and drank it and as soon as it hit my lips, I puked. I’m talking like, instantly like, really, not just threw up I mean I really threw up all over the side of the car, all these executives are driving by in like little golf buggies and stuff. And then I didn’t think it through. I didn’t bring mouth wash or mints or anything so I went into this audition smelling like whiskey and puke and then sang really badly. Anyway, that’s why you didn’t see me in ‘Rock of Ages.’

Speaking of how sometimes it’s hard for Americans to understand his thick Irish accent, Jamie tells Conan and the audience that if he orders food at a fast food restaurant, he does it in an American accent, because there’s just some things he doesn’t want others to get wrong. At In and Out Burger, he goes for the four-by-four. Four burger patties on a bun with a bucket of cheese – we knew Jamie liked his burgers!

Let’s hope Jamie does more American television interviews in the future because this past week has been a blast!

Mr. Grey has been a busy man this past week! While embarking on the North American Press Tour for Fifty Shades Darker, Jamie Dornan had a lineup of talk show interviews in the works and sat down with Jimmy Kimmel, among others, on January 31 to chat all things Darker.

The host of the late night talk show has now sat down to chat with Dornan twice, the first time being last November. This time, he sat down with Kimmel to talk Fifty Shades Darker, how his character has evolved and what fans of the franchise can expect with the second installment.

By now, we’ve all seen Jamie’s buzz cut which was the first thing Kimmel asked about. “Did you shave your head for a role?” “Yeah, it’s for work. When I was in my early twenties, I used to have a shaved head, quite a lot, so I know I don’t have one of those (knobby) heads,” as he sweeps his hand across the back of his head. At least it’s not cold in LA!

Jamie has always been fond of Rickles and speaks very highly of him. “I’m a big fan of Sinatra and Dean Martin and Joy Bishop (…) and Don was just the one who stuck out to me in all of those.”

“Do you still live in Belfast?” Jimmy asks. “No I don’t live in Belfast anymore, no. I live just outside of London.”

“Dads got a very active mind and he wants to keep producing, giving something to the world.”

TWO IRISH STUDS graced RTE’s Late Late Show on Friday evening in the season opener of the show and our eyeballs were throbbing. Jamie Dornan and Cillian Murphy sat down to chat with host Ryan Tubridy about current and upcoming projects, family life, being in the public eye and even had a few jokes along the way.

The pair have been on a nation wide press tour together and have developed a friendship that is clearly evident to the public and fans. The pair often joke or boast about each other while throwing in some inside jokes that even we feel we’re in on. Cillian gloats about co-star Jamie throughout the interview, citing that he would “…binge watch the Fall with his wife,” speaking highly of the character of Paul Spector. Ryan even went as far as to ask Jamie a burning question we were all dying to know the truth about; did he really stalk a woman to prepare for his role as Spector in The Fall? Dornan’s response “…I observed someone on a tube once,” citing that he didn’t ‘stalk’ a women per se, rather experimented with the idea.

Dornan went on to discuss Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed, citing that production wrapped a mere four weeks ago after both films were filmed back to back. But what came to our surprise the most was news about The Fall. As Jamie had mentioned earlier today on an interview with BBC Radio, it was reiterated that The Fall would be having its third series premier at towards the end of September, a date much sooner than the fans collectively anticipated! There is still no official premier date as of yet but at least we now have a general idea. EXCITING!

The pair continued to laugh and giggle and share jokes with each other for the duration of the program, taking a minute to talk about life in the limelight and how they deal with that on a personal level. “It’s not that hard,” Dornan says, explaining that it’s a frame of mind, something you remove yourself from. He spoke beautifully and breifly about his wife, being the private man that he is, and we were happy to know that Amelia is doing well.

But can we talk about how good these two men have looked consistently throughout these past few days? The pair have rocked a tasteful and crisp collection of clothing through this weeks press tour. Cillian all dapper in dark’s while Jamie has bestowed his signature blue colour on us; in clean cut blazers and suits tailored even better than Christian Grey’s, a simple white tee or dress shirt and jeans that accentuate his beautiful behind, Jamie has dressed to impress all week long sending both fans and paparazzi into hysteria. With his beard in full bloom, our favourite Irishman is definitely taking some much needed time to get back to him, his family and the things (and people) he loves. The show ended with news of The Fall’s September premier date and enthusiastic applause, accompanied by a few hoots and hollers – and rightly so.
