Day two of Fifty Shades Darker promo started off with a bang as photographs and clips of Jamie on Ellen began emerging bright and early on this Tuesday morning.

Jamie sat down with America’s most beloved talk show host to talk Fifty Shades Darker, body hair, baby booms and more.

About Fifty Shades and the BDSM aspect of it, DeGeneres asked “Had you known anything about that world before?” to which Dornan replied “Uh, not at all, no. I mean, the funny thing is, pretty much everything you find in the Red Room you’ve used a version of but not for the same effect. It’s maybe more around like, a horse, or, or you know like doing up a bag that’s particularly filled and you’re using a buckle, that kind of thing. So you have the skill set and you sort of surprise yourself.”

Ellen continued to probe the star about bedroom questions and asked if he brought any of the Red Room props home. “Did Millie say, ‘Bring something home?'” to which Jamie replied a very bashful “No. I don’t think she wants some like, used prop.”

Also asking what we all think and feel, Ellen told Jamie he was responsible for a large baby boom. The Fifty Shades Darker star replied “I’d imagine there was a few extra deliveries,” which he then later elaborates on by telling a beautiful and genuine story about a woman who “…stopped me, I was in an elevator (…) she told me she had trouble conceiving and after Fifty Shades came out, it all sort of clicked into place for them and that they had a baby.”

About Darker, Ellen asks what we can expect in the next movie to the trilogy. “…basically Christian can’t foresee his life without Ana and he’s going to do anything to get her back and she wants him to make massive changes because obviously, he has a few flaws. And there’s some things about the way he treats her that she really isn’t that into. So, he makes big sacrifices for her and compromise in the second movie because he just knows he needs her. And we see a softer side of him as well. We see a softer side of him as well. We see him smile a lot more in the second movie.”

Jamie has had much more time with his character of Christian Grey this time around. For Fifty Shades of Grey, the star only had a mere four weeks to prepare for the character while this time, he had roughly a year before filming began and even had a dialect coach help him perfect a more America accent.

“Did you have to get waxed?” (for Fifty Shades) Ellen asks as a video of her DJ Twitch getting waxed for his role in Magic Mike XXL plays behind him. As Dornan is watching the clip you can hear the discomfort in his voice, squinting and rubbing his face and hands. Sympathetic “No’s” rolling off his tongue before asking Twitch “Why man?” as the crowd continues to roar behind him. Dornan says “I am not particularly a hair suit person, yeah I know I have a very hair suit face. I’m not very hairy so…” We’re just glad the beard is back and we hope it stays! Don’t shave it for anyone Jamie!

Jamie dons a wig (although we’re loving the buzz cut) while Ellen enters holding a Staples bag (nice advertising) and a faux bust, practically wide open at the collar and down her stomach. The sketch obviously parodies BDSM but finds Dornan in some pretty awkward situation. out of her Staples bag, Ellen pulls out first a staple remover, then a stapler, followed by an old fashioned pencil sharpener – you know, the ones that were mounted to walls at school that you had to turn. But Ellen couldn’t have Jamie fidgeting and squirming while playing with their ‘toys.’ So, she tapes his arms above his head to the headboard. The crowed chuckles and belly laughs at the irony as both Christian Grey and Paul Spector (Jamie’s two most infamous characters) are usually the ones tying up women.

By far, this is one of the funniest sketches Ellen has ever volun-told someone into. As she’s shoving her bogus boustier in Dornan’s face, he’s kicking and giggling his infections giggle as the fans join them in a bluster of howling.

10 days to go – are you ready for something… Darker?

Get ready, because America’s sweetheart Ellen DeGeneres is set to sit down with Fifty Shades of Grey heartthrob Jamie Dornan for the VERY FIRST TIME!

North American fans of Dornan will get what we’ve all been secretly hoping for over two years – Jamie Dornan chatting one-on-one with the most Decorated People’s Choice winner in history, Ellen Degeneres! The star will talk Fifty Shades with Ellen on a segment that will air January 31 in most of North America.

Fans have recently taken to social media to vocalize their interest in a Dornan-DeGeneres sit now, tweeting supportive hashtags for the past couple of weeks.

Jamie is preparing for what will be a a hectic but exciting promotional path for the upcoming film and it was only fitting that he stop by for some fun with Ellen – the star will be in LA early February for the North American Premier of Fifty Shades Darker.

Fans definitely know that they’re in for a treat. Ellen scored her twentieth People’s Choice Award last night and for obvious reasons – because she’s simply amazing. We’ll laugh, cry and maybe a do a little dancing and who knows, maybe there’s a gift in it for Jamie. This will be his first time ever sitting down with DeGeneres, who’s satired Fifty Shades on more than one occasion.

Whatever happens, we’ll be laughing and remembering this forever – so let’s not wait so long to have him on next time, Ellen!

BLUE IS THE WARMEST COLOUR

As expected, our eyeballs were privy to brand-new Jamie today, snapped by paparazzi leaving the ITV Studios this morning. Donning a signature blue jacket by Sclapers, plain white tee, blue jeans that fit like a glove and his trademark specs, Dornan looks refreshed and ready for the busy week he has ahead of him. 

Dornan films The One Show on BBC today (as it airs at 7pm UK time) and is also attending the UK premier of Anthropoid alongside co-star Cillian Murphy. Tomorrow, Dornan attends the Audi Dublin International Film Festival for another Anthropoid screening. We couldn’t be happier that his latest film is getting world wide attention as well as others which are soon to hit the big screen!

On Friday, Jamie’s new film ‘The 9th Life of Louis Drax’ hits theaters, while Jadotville is set to premier in October. Jamie is also said to be starting a new project in October, but there’s not much information regarding the undercover role, or if it’s even an acting gig period.

The ‘Anthropoid’ star was in New York this pas weekend to support the upcoming film in which he plays an assassin. Alongside co-star Cillian Murphy and director Sean Ellis, they embarked on a strenuous press tour which featured talk shows, premiers, late night appearances and online interviews. Outlets included AOL Build, Live! with Kelly, Huffington Post and Good Morning America, to name a few. The tour also offered exclusive clips of the movie, unfamiliar to the fans.

LET’S START THE WEEK OFF WITH A BANG!

Not one, but TWO (yes, keep scrolling) Anthropoid clips came out today! A TV Spot and a clip from the film. Both Jamie and his following are heading into a very hectic week. With a profusion of radio, television and public appearances this week in New York, Jamie and his followers will be busy owning social media. Programs include ‘Live! with Kelly’, ‘Good Morning America’, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ and an interview with AOL Build. All this in just two days as Dornan begins a tumultuous string of promotions.

Jamie is beginning promotion for his upcoming war thriller, Anthropoid, which hits theaters August 12th. After just having completed a six month stint in Vancouver for Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed, Dornan has taken some much needed downtime away from the public eye, no doubt to be with his family. He begins a plethora of movie and television promotions as Anthropoid, aside from Fifty, is not the only thing he’s now diving into. Jamie has two other films that are ready to hit theaters – ‘The 9th Life of Louis Drax’ debuts in select theaters on September 2nd while other war thriller, ‘Jadotville,’ a Netflix Original, is set to premier soon with no definitive date as of yet. 

Jamie also begins promotion for his most coveted series ‘The Fall’ (insert screams here.) Yes, Jamie is getting ready for Paul Spector once more and we’re fan-girling hard! He’s set to do a Q&A alongside co-star Gillian Anderson in the UK on September 7th. Tickets were open to the public to purchase and many of our friends from across the pond will be in attendance. There’s no premier date as of yet for Season 3.
