Jamie fans have been on a roller coaster today! An official trailer for Jamie’s psychological thriller, The Ninth Life of Louis Drax was released today and it does not disappoint!

Jamie plays Dr. Pascal, who is helping young Louis Drax, who’s in a coma due to a fall off a cliff, overcome his predicament. Dornan delves into a very mysterious world when he tries to unlock what happened in the moments leading up to Louis’ fall.

The Ninth Life of Louis Drax premiers September 2nd, 2016 in select locations. You can find screencaps of the first trailer here.

NINTH GETS A PREMIER DATE

Yet another one of Jamie’s projects that was actually filmed in late 2014 is finally getting it’s premier date. The Ninth Life of Louis Drax, based on Liz Jensen’s novel, will premier internationally on September 2nd, 2016. Among this date, here are other premier dates for the movie specific to certain locations:

Russia: August 25th, 2016

USA: September 2nd, 2016

UK: September 2016 (no specified date yet)

Portugal: October 6th, 2016

Turkey: October 28th, 2016

GREAT NEWS! Jamie will return to @KVIFFEST in Prague to attend the World Premier of Nazi Thriller Anthropoid, in which he plays alongside Cillian Murphy. The World Premier is set to take place on July 1st, 2016, a bit more than a month away.

Dornan has worked on several projects since completing filming of the first Fifty Shades of Grey movie back in 2014, but fans have not been privy to any of these ventures even though we’ve followed them through to their completion. Both Anthropoid and The Ninth Life of Louis Drax are works that the fans have been dying to see and now, it looks as though we’re getting our wish. Just this past week news of Drax’s September 2016 UK release date hit the internet and fans went ballistic.

It’s been nothing short of an amazing week for Dornan, and his fans alike. He continues to film Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed in Vancouver until mid June at which time he’ll return home, some place he hasn’t been in what must feel like forever.

SEPTEMBER 2016

Andre Aja, director of psychotic thriller ‘The Ninth Life of Louis Drax’, stated while at the Cannes Film Festival that the movie, starring Jamie Dornan and Sarah Gadon, could be released in the US in September of 2016.

Fans of Dornan have been waiting for the movie to release since filming completed in late 2014. Lionsgate Films has acquired the distribution rights to the film and everything has been kept tight lipped ever since. Here’s hoping that this date is a date that will stick!

Canadian indie rocker Patrick Watson has shifted his focus from his ‘Love Songs for Robots’ LP back towards the world of cinema. He’ll next be delivering a score for supernatural drama The 9th Life of Louis Drax starring Fifty Shades of Grey and The Fall star Jamie Dornan. The movie is yet to announce an international release date which has Jamie fans in a frenzy, especially with another year before Fifty Shades Darker debuts and the new season of Jamie’s BBC’s thriller, The Fall.
