Great news, Jamie fans! The Fall is eligible to be nominated for a Golden Globe Award at the annual Gala’s 2016 ceremony. How so?! Well, The Fall premiered on North American Netflix back in January and that alone makes the series eligible in this year’s ceremony. A nomination for The Fall would, excuse the pun, fall under the Drama Category of nominations while individual nominations for actors/supporting roles would surely fall under the dramatic category as well. Keep in mind that our favourite series has not yet been nominated, it’s only eligible to be nominated. The 2016 Golden Globe Nominations are scheduled to be announced on December 10th, 2015.
Although Jamie wasn’t nominated for Best Dramatic Actor, we still have some great Fifty Shades of Grey nominations at the 2016 People’s Choice Awards.
Dakota Johnson has been nominated in the Best Dramatic Actress category, while Fifty Shades of Grey is up for Favourite Dramatic Movie.
Among the above, Ellie Goulding’s ‘Love Me Like You Do’ from the FSoG OMPST has also been nominated for Favourite Song alongside Fifty Shades Soundtrack alum, The Weeknd for his eclectic hit ‘Can’t Feel My Face’
Voting is open NOW and is available through January 6th, 2016. Vote here for your favourites!
Great news for The Fall and Jamie Dornan fans alike – The Fall has been nominated for a 2015 Royal Television Society Northern Ireland Programme Award in the Drama category. Alongside fellow nominee Line of Duty, The Fall has been shortlisted for an award at this years ceremony.
