It’s no surprise that the most anticipated Fifty Shades Darker premier is that of the one held in the UK – this premier is special, more so than any of the other premiers. Although it was nice to change it up and feature new premier locations, the UK has this in the bag. The inaugural premier was hosted by Leicester Odeon Square for the second time on February 9th, 2017 where everyone placed their best fashion foot forward. Dornan, Johnson, Foley and James all looked stellar in their designer gowns and suits. Johnson wore a flawless and uber-romantic black and white Alexander McQueen gown from the Spring 2017 collection. Her neutral makeup and limited accessories were just the perfect touch, careful not to take away from the stunning dress. Dornan made us swoon with yet another perfectly tailored suit for his perfectly tailored body by Louis Vuitton, saving the grey suit for last. The premier’s white backdrop perfectly complimented every angle of his face and immaculate beard.      Dornan’s wife, Amelia Warner, accompanied the star to this premier. Thank goodness – we’ve been dying to see Millie! With her arm draped around Jamie’s waist, Millie wore an ensemble by Rosetta Getty with a pair of Jimmy Choo’s to match. Her enigmatic, bright red smile in contrast to the grey-scale wardrobe and backdrop offers some pop to the evening all the while looking cool, calm, collective and classy. Jamie even stole a kiss! Seriously, the way these two are with each other, the way they look at each other – relationship goals.      The UK premier of Fifty Shades Darker would mark the end of the premier schedule, but not the promotional schedule. Both Jamie and Dakota had a slew of interviews lined up and would continue to travel the globe to endorse the film. The third stop on a hectic, chaotic and whirlwind promotional tour for Fifty Shades Darker took place in Madrid, Spain on February 8th, 2017.
    As the evening approached, the stars stepped out once again for fans and photographers emanating glamour and class on the red carpet. Dakota turned heads in a vintage, ruffled pink Gucci gown while Dornan donned another well-fitted suit, practically crafted for his body by Neil Barrett and shoes by Ferragamo.          After Madrid would come the biggest, most anticipated premier of all – The UK Premier at Leicester, Odeon Square in London. On February 7th, 2017, the second stop along the Fifty Shades Darker premier tour took us to Hamburg, Germany where the stars graced the red carpet looking nothing but their best. With fans lined up along the barriers of the carpet, the stars, co-stars and fellow celebrities graced us with high fashion, warm smiles and more photos and picture-ops than we could have anticipated. Dakota shimmered in a a black, floor length, thigh high slitted dress by Saint Laurent complete with a luscious red lip. Jamie looked dapper, as always, in a suit ensemble by Neil Barrett, beard perfectly coiffed for the evening’s festivities. After posing for pictures, signing autographs and taking photos with fans, it was off to Madrid, Spain for the third stop on a very energetic premier schedule.           Los Angeles went Darker on February 2nd, 2017 when the stars of E L James’ hotly anticipated sequel to her Fifty Shades of Grey franchise attended the North American premier of Fifty Shades Darker. It was the type of night Mr. Grey would expect you to be on your best behaviour for, all gussied up in Caroline Acton with just the right accessories. A masquerade ball mask, for instance. Fans of the franchise got an opportunity to recreate the opulent and saturated masquerade ball ceremony when they were invited to attend the lavish event in LA. Fans from all over the world came to meet their #FiftyFamily and indulge in an all-out girls night. Complete with music from José James (the vocalist and band featured at the ball in the film) hors-d’oeuvres, elegant buffet, dancing, photo booths and more, the night was as magical as it is portrayed in James’ telling of the story. Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson along with director James Foley and author E L James, stepped onto the stage to present the movie and share their thoughts on how the growth between films is something fans will not be disappointed with. James, more enthusiastic than we’ve seen her in a long time, spoke about her excitement surrounding Darker and how confident she is that the fans will be satiated. “We nailed it,” she exclaims, throwing her fists in the air as if securing a victory. While everyone looked spectacular, all eyes were on Jamie and Dakota. Dakota illuminated the room in a blush pink gown by Valentino with a plunging neckline from the Spring 2017 collection. Her co-star, Dornan, rocked the same designer while sporting Louboutin shoes. The pair compliment each other well – laughing and giggling, whispering some inside jokes to each other, they without a doubt have developed a friendship and trust that will expand beyond their years as Christian and Ana.
